Got Passport?

Well I just returned home from an outstanding trip!!! I spent two and a half weeks in Europe - Italy, Greece and Turkey and it was off the charts... Why? My faboo birthday, of course! It's my favorite holiday...remember? :)

I decided it was time to do something I have awaited so long to do...travel with a passport. Can anyone say ADDICTION AT ITS BEST?! Sure, I've lived on both coasts of the USA (Cali and NY), and sure I've been to Hawaii, Canada and Mexico several times, but come on! Live a little!!! And so I did. Actually...I lived a LOT!

So let's review my itinerary of a lifetime:
Italy: Rome, Sicily, Naples, Capri, Vatican City
Greece: Rhodes, Lindos, Athens
Turkey: Kusadafi, Ephesus, Istanbul

ITALY

Rome...so much history, so much traffic, the best cappuccino in all the land.
Sicily...where I drank my first bottle of wine in Europe (I kept the bottle...don't judge!), faboo shopping, delicious food and wine, brilliant city.
Naples...dirty little city that creates the best Margherita Pizza!
Capri...shopping for the rich and famous, views forever, steps and steps and steps...this gorgeous place is what tears are made of. Stunning.......
Vatican City...peaceful, cleansing, a feeling that you're being watched over. Beauty.

GREECE

Rhodes...saw very little.
Lindos...so gorgeous, Acropolis, Caesar's restaurant... Bossa n' Stones music (the sexiest lunch I've ever had.....).
Athens...WOW!!! My feeling is that car hood ornaments are to men today what steps to the Acropolis were to men back then. "My steps are bigger than your steps!" Apparently size mattered...even then. **sigh** Considering people were what, 5' tall???...steps proposed some sort of statement!!! They were a flippin' foot and a half tall for crying out loud!

TURKEY

Kusadafi...shopping! Hustle and bustle...yummy food! This place is 'genuine fake' and it's AWESOME!
Ephesus...groovy city...once.
Istanbul...cosmopolitan, shopping galore, the sound of prayer calling out to the entire city. This place is truly extraordinary.

My life...so amazing. The people in my life...so amazing. The future...so grateful!

xoxo, Maggie (now considered...world travelah!)

Happy New Year!

And so it begins....a time to renew. As an advocate for change, I love it! Although I must say...my 2010 just rocked!

Saw a fabulous show last night in San Diego. Gotta love the theater, right? RIGHT! I do believe it has inspired me to pursue once again. And so THAT will be my New Year's resolution... hey, we all need something to look forward to!

So Happy New Year one and all...... may it rock completely!!!

xoxo, Mags
